What is Airbrush Tanning?
Airbrush Tanning is a unique process of applying tanning solution to your body using an airbrush. The solution goes on smoothly and evenly with no streaking. The process is different from spray booths, as it is applied by hand to your body by a trained and certified technician.
What Type of Solution is Used?
The solution that Mobile Tanning, LLC. uses is approved by the FDA for cosmetic purposes. The main ingredient is Dihidroxyacetone, the same ingredient that is used in self-tanners. Our solution is Paraben Free.
What Do I Need to do to Prepare for My Tan?
Please shower, shave, and exfoliate. Do not apply deodorant or makeup prior to the tan. Make sure you have loose clothing to wear afterward. It is important to use a water-based exfoliant (like our bora bora body polish) as an oil-based exfoliant will interfere with your tan.
What Do I Need to do After My Tan?
Do not shower for at least 5 hours afterward. Take warm showers (not hot), and moisturize twice daily. Please contact Mobile Tanning, LLC. for information on tan extending lotions and touch-up mists. If you will be using hot-tubs, swimming pools, or shaving we highly advise you to use our tan extending products.
How Long Will My Tan Last?
Your tan can last up to two weeks as long as you take care of your skin and use our recommended products. It is important to take care of your skin. The solution we use is longer lasting than most and our tans generally last longer than others.
What do I Wear for My Tan?
We advise you to wear dark colored bathing suit or underwear. You may also use our disposable undergarments provided at the time of service at no extra charge. Women have the option of tanning in the nude, but we ask that men wear some type of swimsuit or underwear.
Pregnancy or Lactating?
The FDA has deemed DHA safe for use topically, however, Mobile Tanning, LLC. does require a written letter from your physician in order to receive tanning treatment. Lactating mothers can be sprayed without a note as long as the nipple area is covered completely, however, if you have questions or concerns please speak with your physician.
Can I Airbrush Tan if I have any Health Conditions?
Clients that are diabetic or if you have ever had a negative reaction to any type of self tanning product should consult with your Dr.
